Preventive care questions

What about electric and hybrid vehicles?

Electric and hybrid vehicles can have oil-lubricated gears. EX120 for gearboxes and reducers may be considered where the component uses compatible gear oil; confirm the exact unit, fluid and supplied instructions. ATF, e-drive fluids and shared motor-cooling circuits need separate compatibility checks. A hybrid also has a combustion engine: suitable XADO engine wear protection can be part of its maintenance. Select by the system being treated, not just the powertrain name.

Can I use XADO if my car has no symptoms?

Yes, suitable XADO wear-protection products have a preventive-care role. Check the exact vehicle, system, fluid specification and supplied label. For a new or rebuilt engine, also check running-in instructions and the vehicle manufacturer's requirements.

Should I add it before or after an oil change?

TotalFlush is used in the old engine oil before changing the oil and filter. Plan an AMC or EX120 wear treatment so its full treatment cycle can finish before the next oil change. Follow the instructions for your exact product; do not use one timing rule for every additive.

Do I need another treatment at every oil change?

Not automatically. Follow the repeat interval on your product label. XADO's AMC Maximum 225 ml reference instructions describe a 1,000–1,500 km treatment cycle and recommend repeat treatment after 100,000 km. Check that the supplied version matches those instructions. Continue normal vehicle servicing.

Can an additive replace servicing or mechanical repairs?

No. Keep using the specified oil and normal service schedule. Severe slipping, loss of drive, overheating or an oil-pressure warning needs diagnosis before treatment.

Deep oil-system cleaner with piston-ring decarbonising action. XADO ATOMEX TotalFlush is designed to clean sludge, varnish and deposits from the engine oil system before an oil change. It is compatible with all types of engine oil and is suitable for turbocharged engines.
Preventive care: cleaning at an oil service
TotalFlush can be used for oil-system cleaning as part of planned maintenance, when cleaning is appropriate, even without a noticeable symptom. It is a cleaner used before an oil and filter change, not a long-term wear-protection treatment and not a required step for every AMC treatment.
For regular cleaning, follow the supplied instructions: 250 ml for 4–5 L of engine oil, then idle for 10–15 minutes or drive approximately 20 km before changing the oil and filter. The longer heavy-deposit procedure is a separate use case. Check the supplied label and your vehicle requirements.
  • Dosage: 250 ml for 4–5 L of engine oil.
  • Regular cleaning: add to warm engine oil, then idle for 10–15 minutes or drive about 20 km before changing the oil.
  • Heavily contaminated engines: XADO’s official instructions allow 150–200 km of normal driving before the oil change.
Recommended for: engines with suspected oil-system deposits, sticky piston rings, or as a thorough clean before fresh oil.
Always follow the product label. A cleaner cannot repair mechanically failed components.
Engine oil sludge, deposits or oil consumption?
TotalFlush is an engine oil flush used before an oil and filter change. It is intended for oil-system deposits and sticky piston rings. Oil burning or blue smoke can also have causes that a cleaner cannot repair, so establish the cause before selecting a treatment.
Does an engine flush stop oil burning?
It is not a guaranteed cure for oil consumption. Consider cleaning when deposits are the concern; mechanical wear or damage needs diagnosis. Follow the product label, then replace the oil and filter. Never put engine flush in a transmission or power steering system.

    Use of low-quality oil, engine operation under hard conditions (daily short-distance trips, city driving in a “start-stop” mode, continuous engine idle operation in traffic jams, engine overheating) results in piston rings carbonization and mobility reduction. It can lead to increased oil consumption and smoking, power droops.
    Solution: piston rings anticarbon treatment.

    Finest particles abraded from engine friction surfaces are washed away together with discharged oil.
    Solution: Revitalizant involves abraded particles in the process of formation of a protective metal-ceramic coating.

    Pour the compound into the oil filler neck of a non-working engine, warmed up to the operating temperature.

    In case of severe engine contamination, for deep cleaning of its oil system to the level of technical purity and for anticarbon treatment of rings: drive 90-120 miles in the normal mode. For regular application: provide idle engine operation within 10–15 minutes or drive 12.5 miles.

Shudder fix

2 years after service the gearbox on my Volvo S80 started to develop gearbox shudder which gradually became so bad that I went back to the service workshop. The upshot of it was that a single dose of xado was added. This gave immediate result and the issue disappeared for 6 months when it slowly returned. After a further 6 months something needed to be done. Another (second) dose of xado was added. Instant change. The shudder disappeared and it is now 3 weeks and the car drives like a new car. Hopefully this will last this tIme. Fingers crossed.

I have recently purchased revitalizants and AMC for my raptor 2019 at 70k miles.
I am loving it and seeing how my raptor drives way smoother.
Also feels like the torque improved! My normal mode sorta feel like sports mode! Hoping the 5w30 black edition will be available in Au so I can all the way xado for my oils!

applied Xado on a elgrand 97 diesel engine with a mileage of about 400,000 km. fuel consumption, if it decreased, then a little, but the engine began to work like a clock, softly, quietly. Satisfied with the result.
